Architecture was somewhat kismit as an adolescent that gravitated towards mathematics and the arts. The best of both worlds were achieved as three intense years were spent pontificating the philosophy behind architecture at Wentworth Institute of Technology, which were followed by two years of focus on Engineering. What seems like a century ago, an A.A.S. and B.S. in Architectural Engineering Technology were awarded.
After a short stint building custom yachts, the call of design was too strong. Fourteen years later, I found myself ready to answer some of that philosophy that a younger man couldn’t grasp. K. Marshall Works Design was formed out of a combination of being immersed in the epicenter of the countries most revered styles of architecture (shingle style)—and the privilege of working under some very talented designers on Cape Cod. I am driven by a great admiration for residential design inspired by coastal New England. That inspiration along with the atmosphere of the landscape – a seamless design is forged.
